Help to Make a Lasting Impact

Monetary donations are used in many ways including office supplies, equipment storage fees, grounds keeping, postage, newsletters, and educational field trip expenses such as bussing. We also welcome in-kind donations such as equipment use, labor, and professional services.

What is a 501(c)(3) Organization?

The SCRA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation will be used to further Abandoned Mine Reclamation and Mine Drainage Treatment in the Shamokin Creek Watershed. We will provide you with a receipt, upon request, detailing the value of your contribution, which can be used as a tax write-off.

Impact of Donations

The SCRA operates on a $1500 annual budget. Individual donations are vital to our success and help to cover expenses such as: bussing fees for educational field trips, website hosting fees, grounds keeping expenses within treatment areas, postage and newsletter mailings, and office supplies. In-kind donations are also accepted for equipment usage, labor, and professional services.
